Dr. Althea Parry-Childerley is a pregnancy and postpartum specialist who has always had a passion for women's health. After completing her undergraduate degree in Women's Studies, she went on to earn her doctorate in physical therapy from New York Medical College in 2015, where she fell in love with the world of pelvic health during her clinical rotation. She has a wide range of experience treating orthopedic, neurological, and pelvic floor conditions in both outpatient and home health settings. She has extensive continuing education through Herman & Wallace, APTA Pelvic Health, is a certified Pregnancy and Postpartum Corrective Exercise Specialist, and coaches pregnant and postpartum women through varies applications.
After experiencing a difficult pregnancy and postpartum period herself, Althea decided to dedicate her practice exclusively to treating women during these unique stages of life. She is determined to set a new standard of peripartum healthcare by empowering women with the knowledge and confidence to navigate a healthy pregnancy, labor, and postpartum recovery. She loves connecting with patients and working together to reach their goals by providing one-on-one individualized and comprehensive treatment plans they can trust, based on the most current available research and their unique needs.
